INTERVIEWS
I love conducting interviews and wish I could do more of them! Learning directly from people about their experiences and backgrounds is incredibly valuable. Below are a few interviews I had the privilege of conducting over the past year, primarily focused on languages and cultural differences.
The place of the French language in Louisiana
I had the pleasure to interview Isabelle, a Belgian settled in Louisianna to teach French. She kindly answered a lot of questions regarding her job as a teacher, her life in Louisiana, the place of French & Cajun French in the State, and more!

Kevin Rees kindly sat down for a heartfelt interview about Cajun French in Louisiana.
We discussed persecution, the ashamed generation, memories with our grandfathers, the hopeful youth and much more.
An American's perspective on life in France during the 1970s.
Bill shares with us his adventures as an American teenager in France during the 70s. Best & Worst memories, craziest time, life and people impacted by WWII, being a novelty, and how it changed him.

in this part two, we talked about love and how it differed between the two countries. Lots of fun!

What are French People Really Like?
My first ever video! Back on the 'Frenchtastic' channel, I walked through my college town looking for tourists and asked them what they think of French people~

Quebec French VS French!
I got the opportunity to exchange with Michel from Quebec.

In this interview, we discussed why the language became so different, the divergent patois, and how people's environments impact them. We started the interview speaking in English and later switched to French.
In this enjoyable second part, Michel teaches me some iconic expressions from Quebec. I must admit, I wasn’t the best student and misunderstood quite a few words! However, in the end, I learned a lot, and I’m very grateful to Michel for giving me this opportunity.
Being a French Expat To The USA
a couple of years ago, I had the pleasure of talking to Nathalie and Nate, a French-American couple living in the USA. We talked about cultural differences, integrations, impacts on their relationship, and more.

From Nashville to Paris
My friend Guillaume shared his experiences as an expat moving from Nashville to Paris. We discussed his choices, the challenges during COVID-19, his adaptation to a new life, the differences he noticed, and his interactions with the French.
